Question PCOS System and Heart Disease

Hello -

I have PCOS, Hashimotos Hypothyroid and now possibly a heart condition. The doctor has put me on Metoprolol Tartrate (Lopressor) twice a day and an aspirin once a day because I had an irregular EKG. I had an echocardiogram last week and get the results this week to find out if it is blockage or valve trouble. Anyway. I am wondering if it is ok to contiue the system while taking this new drug. I'm already on a handful for my PCOS and Hypothyroid.

Thanks!
Lana

Dear Lana,

Thank you for writing in. The first thing that comes to my mind is this question- is the irregular EKG due to the Hashimoto's? I'm assuming your doctor has thought about that? Good luck with the echocardiogram results, I hope they come back good.

It is alright for you to use the PCOS Insulite System with the Metoprolol and aspirin. Just make sure to take the medication away from the GlucX because it can bind up some of the meds thus decreasing their absorption.

I hope this is helpful. Feel free to write again with any other questions you might have, or with your echo results.

Default Time span to take PCOS system with meds

Thanks for the info. I will ask the doctor about Hashimotos.

What is a good time span to take Gluc X away from medications? I take 3 in the morning and 5 in the evening before bed.

Any suggestions for meal spacings?

Thanks!
Lana
