Question Insulite History

Hello,

I'm so excited to find this site!!! After about 18 years of suffering almost all of the symptoms, a midwife finally diagnosed me with PCOS. She based it on my symptoms and after examining me, and said I was a classic textbook case. I love the fact that your product is natural, but have several questions.

1. How long has Insulite been on the market, and do you have numbers to support success? (forums seem to definitely support it)

2. I seem to have a difficult time getting a doctor to listen. I would love to simply have the bloodwork done without getting the birth control/metformin/scare-you-to-death pitch. Is that possible? Is it better to go to an ND? Do you recommend any in the US?

3. Obviously everyone's hormone levels are different, on the Insulite system, do the nutracueticals work with my body's optimum hormone levels? I guess I'm not understanding how that works. Is there a certain level that I should get to? Is it different for everyone? Do you have regular blood work? That seems a little bit impossible with a regular doctor.

4. I'm guessing from the forum that the diet changes are toward low glycemic load foods? I'm trying to go organic which includes whole unprocessed grains, such as quinoa. Will that work with getting rid of PCOS?

This program is what I was looking for, natural and scientific. I'm looking forward to continuing on the forum reading tonight. Thanks!!!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I am glad that you have chosen to write in! We are also very proud and pleased to be able to offer a non-pharmaceutical approach to PCOS, without artificial ingredients, hormones or stimulants.

I am happy to answer all your questions and will answer then in the order you asked above.

1. We have been in business since August 2001 and selling product since 2003. The PCOS System was introduced in January 2005.

We do not have statistics on success, since each woman will have different symptoms and different goals. Many women also choose not to update us and that makes it difficult to track our clients.

2. This is tough to answer since each doctor may approach this differently. Most conventional medical doctors are going to recommend pharmaceutical treatment since that is what they are trained in. You can certainly try an ND, but be sure that they are licensed or license elligible. You can find an ND that is appropriatly trained at naturopathic.org. If we can help find someone that may be near you, let us know where you are located in the US. The ND's here at Insulite are pretty spread out and have lots of resources in other states.

3. Yes, the System helps to reduce testosterone levels, DHEA-s and support a more optimal levels. Also, by addressing insulin resistance and controlling insulin and glucose levels, this will also help to decrease the effect that insulin has on your symptoms. Insulin resistance/high insulin can affect hormones that impact ovulation and the amount of testosterone produced. So, we are trying to optimize these levels by using supplements, herbs and lifestyle changes.

4. The nutrition changes that we recommend are geared towards lower GI foods but also in reducing overall carbohydrate intake. Eating whole, unrefined, unprocessed foods is best as eating foods as close to the way they are meant to be used provides you with all the nutrients that the food offers. The choices you are making are appropriate so keep in up.

I hope that this answers your questions and helps. Please let me know if I can help further. Thanks again for contributing.
