    Hello nobody_like_me_21,

Please know you are not alone. PCOS is often treated with birth control pills, antidepressants and metformin. But this approach does not work for many women. At Insulite, our philosophy is to treat the cause of the disorder so that there is no longer a need for using pharmaceuticals.

As you may have read about on our website, www.pcos.insulitelabs.com, with insulin resistance, the body becomes insensitive to the insulin it produces, which leads to elevated circulating levels of insulin. This in turn leads to hormonal imbalances such as increased testosterone and other androgens (masculinizing hormones).

Elevated insulin and insulin resistance also contribute to the formation of cysts in the ovaries in part due to the hormonal imbalances and also because the ovaries are highly sensitive to the influence of insulin. In women with PCOS, the ovaries are over-sensitized to insulin's effects. Finally, the weight gain associated with PCOS is intricately related to insulin resistance. Losing weight helps to improve insulin sensitivity, and vice versa: becoming more sensitive to your insulin helps you to lose weight.

The Insulite PCOS System helps to improve insulin sensitivity and promote healthy weight loss with its combination of nutrients and herbs as well as diet and exercise guidelines. The supplements are also designed to correct the hormone imbalance of PCOS. Correcting the hormonal imbalance will likely help with the depression.

Why don't you go to any city near to you. where you can get the proper treatment for this. I think this the best way for you.

    Hi....I'm-somebody-like-you!

I wanted to see where you lived in WV - I just moved to NC from up there, and I might be able to point you in the right direction for doctors up there. If you are close to Morgantown, Ruby Memorial Hospital and doctors associated with University Health Associates do a great job, in my opinion. If you are down closer to the Charleston area, doctors affiliated with Women's and Children's would likely be helpful. When I moved down here last year, my children's doctor recommended someone here - you might want to contact one of the larger facilities to see if they would be willing to consult with a doctor closer to you so you get the benefits without the travel.

I know that it's hard in WV because travel isn't easy up there!!!!

Something I have done here is started working with a health coach who specializes in PCOS. I've gotten more help from her than from doctors, and I've been able to see results a little at a time. She is certified through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and they take a whole life approach like Insulite does (natural supplements, diet, exercise, general wellness). Send me a note if you want her information - obviously, you wouldn't be able to do face-to-face things with her here, but she might also be able to point you in the right direction.

Keep up the faith in yourself as you work on this - even if you aren't seeing major results quickly, take comfort in the fact that you are taking control of the situation and doing your part to make a change. As a native West Virginian, I know that we are built to be strong and amazing!!!!

Like I said, send me a note if you need to.......
    Hoping for amazing changes,

    Hopefulcyster

you poor dear! i responded to you because i feel for you a great deal! this message you sent is very old, and i hope you are still checking here for help. try this system! it's great, and i have had wonderful results. i started needing to lose 150 + pounds. i am already down by 27 in about 2 months, and i am starting to get some energy back. once i lose 50 pounds, i am going to start Zumba classes. I hope you try this system and it works for you like it has for me. before i found Insulite, i all but gave up. now, i have a renewed zest for life and a willingness to get to where i need to be now that my insides will cooperate with what my brain wants. my weight-loss journey has just begun, but i am going to get there come hell or high water! i've also come off all anti-depressants whether prescribed or natural remedies. i still have to battle with feeling down every now and then, but it's getting easier to handle.
