Hi ladies,
Anyone else with excess hair below the neck (i.e. abdomen, chest and around nipples)? I would like to know how you are treating it, what treatments have been successful for you and any other helpful advice?
Thanks!

Hello and thanks for writing in. I can tell you that many of the women that I work with, that have PCOS so have excess facial and body hair. It is not uncommon to have hair on the neck, breasts, abdomen and genital areas. This is most often due to the androgen levels, such as testosterone, DHEA-s and the imbalances between other hormones.
Our approach to PCOS is to work to address the underlying insulin resistance and to help balance hormones. If you are interested, please visit our website at: http://pcos.insulitelabs.com/
I hope that this helps.

Great, I am glad to hear it. It can take some time to see changes in this area. Hormones have to be in a much better balance. As you reduce carbohydrates, this will further support reducing testosterone and other androgens that can contribute to this symptom.
Please let me know how you are doing and how we can help.
