Hit the Mall … for Exercise and Improved PCOS

December 16th, 2009

With wintry weather spreading right across the U.S.,  don’t let the cold put you off healthy exercise to better manage your PCOS symptoms.

Instead, why not switch your walks to a local shopping mall? It’s likely to be safe and warm, well-lit and even full of water fountains for a refreshing break. Ask your friends to join your exercise session and afterwards you can all do some seasonal shopping together.

Don’t forget to have a pair of good walking sneakers and comfortable socks. Use a pedometer to monitor your progress and aim to walk two miles in 30 minutes at least three days a week. But always consult a doctor before beginning a new exercise regime.
